•A Parent Preview (ADULTS ONLY) of the TEEN MAZE will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00pm-8:00 PM at the West Georgia Technical College Callaway Center.

•All Troup County first time 9th grade students will participate in the TEEN MAZE during the school day on Wednesday, at 8:00am.

Join the Troup County Sheriff's Office in wishing our 9th graders the best on their "Maze" journey! The pictures shown here are of the "Mock Jail" with fingerprinting & mugshot station. There's also a picture of just a few of the 394 volunteers who are participating in the event! More to follow, as the week unfolds...

McGruff at West Point Elementary to Promote "Red Ribbon Week, 2011"

Earlier today, the Troup County Sheriff's Office "Crime Dawg" - McGruff - visited West Point Elementary School to share the importance of Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 22nd - 30th). It is also imperative that we demonstrate who our "Trusted Adults" are within the community. Saying "NO", in itself, is great! However, that "NO" carries much more weight whenever our children have the support of their trusted adults!!! Read more about "Red Ribbon Week", here:http://www.redribboncoalition.com/index.php/history

Thank you for "Courageous", from TCSO

Sheriff Donny Turner and everyone at the Troup County Sheriff's Office would like to graciously and humbly thank those at Rosemont Baptist Church, Franklin Road Baptist Church, the families of the West Georgia Homeschool Association, LaGrange 10 (Carmike Cinemas) and Jim Bob's for a wonderful evening of "Dinner and a Movie".

As a result of the generosity from those mentioned, the employees of the Troup County Sheriff's Office were treated to a viewing of the movie "Courageous". This film was an inspiring and refreshing course in fatherhood. We were also reminded of the dangers facing those who choose to serve and protect the citizens of our great County.

It goes without saying that, whenever we put on the badge we have you in mind. We simply ask that you keep us in your prayers, as we strive to be courageous in our duties.

Thank you, again. God bless.
