Additional Charges of Arson for Reginald Robertson
Troup County Sheriff Donny Turner announces that additional charges have been placed on Reginald Robertson. Robertson is the property owner of the residence that was destroyed by fire on 5/30/11 (Memorial Day), located at 177 Mountville-Big Springs Road. Five other house fires that were discovered within the Mountville Community of Troup County during the same period of time are now believed to be linked to Robertson’s, according to Investigators.
Reginald Robertson now faces six (6) counts of Arson in the First Degree, two (2) counts of Aggravated Assault (for the house fire at 1399 Hines Road, which occurred when two residents were inside the home) and one (1) count of Insurance Fraud.

Troup County Sheriff Donny Turner announces that, over the weekend, arrests have been made in a case of metal theft in Troup County. The property owner of Lovett’s Sales and Salvage reported, on June 13th, that approximately $5,000 worth of stainless steel had been taken from his business on Cooley Road (LaGrange).
Since that time, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Anthony Morris Duke (age = 40, of LaGrange), Deborah Ann Duke (age = 22, of LaGrange) and Eric Gene Bowen, Sr. (age = 52, of Hogansville) in relation to this case. All three have been charged with Felony Theft By Taking (Over $500.00).
Nearly all of the metal taken from the Sales and Salvage business was returned to the property owner after the arrests were made.
