At approximately 7:20 pm, on Thursday evening (12/22/11), TCSO Deputies responded to 5618 West Point Road (Ribitz) in reference to a report of Armed Robbery. While en route, Deputies learned that a clerk had also been shot once.
After their arrival, witnesses at the convenience store told Deputies that two black males entered the store with handguns and grabbed the money from the clerk. Before leaving one of the two suspects shot a store clerk once in the abdomen.
Meanwhile, the injured store clerk was transported by ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment. Investigators processed the scene for evidence and gathered store surveillance video.
Sheriff Donny Turner is now asking for anyone in the neighborhood of the store, at the time of the robbery, who may have noticed any suspicious activity...
