On
9/14/11 (Thursday), the Troup County Sheriff's Office Dive Team was
dispatche...d
to the Evansville Access (Boat Ramp) of West Point Lake to retrieve a submerged
vehicle.
After their arrival, the Dive Team entered the water and secured the 2002 Chrysler 300M for recovery. Further investigation revealed that the car was reported as stolen in September of 2010 from Timber Ridge Drive.
The vehicle was safely towed from the lake, and this case continues under investigation. This is the third vehicle recovered from West Point Lake this Summer by the Troup County Sheriff's Office Dive Team.
