Columbus Day

Hope you have a great Monday! It’s also the day we mark for celebration of the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas (which occurred on October 12, 1492). Since 1971, the holiday has been fixed to the second Monday in October. It is generally observed today by banks, the bond market, the U.S. Postal Service and other federal agencies and most state government offices. Just keep it in mind as you embark on your plans for the rest of your day… May today hold pleasant discoveries for you and yours from everyone at the Troup County Sheriff's Office!
