FREE Complete Child ID Kits from TCSO and Sheriff Turner

A missing child is one of the most horrifying thoughts that could run through a parent's mind. That is a REAL fear for 2,185 sets of parents who report missing children each day, across the Country, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. That equates to 797,500 children in a year! No one wants to imagine that this could be their child. However, in the tragic event that your child should go missing, have a plan in place. After notifying 911, be prepared to provide your child's vital information and current photographs to Investigators.

Sheriff Donny Turner and your friends at the Troup County Sheriff's Office are partnering with local pharmacies throughout Troup County to provide FREE ID kits for children (infant - high school age).

Along with instructions, your kit will include spaces for: Personal Vital information (i.e. Height, Weight, Eye color, etc.), your child's photograph, DNA collection, a scar/birthmark chart, a Dental chart and a fingerprint card.

You may pick up yours at TCSO on Sam Walker Drive, or get one as you pick up prescriptions during the "Cold and Flu Season" from your local pharmacy. For more information, call us at (706)883-1616.
