TCSO Investigates a Shooting at the American Legion Club

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting which occurred at the American Legion in Hogansville.

At approximately 2am, Troup County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a report of a shooting which had occurred at the club on American Legion Road. After their arrival, one male victim was discovered lying in the floor with a gunshot wound. Paramedics attempted to revive the victim; however, the male subject did succumb to his injury. The perimeter around the area was promptly secured. As Investigators arrived on scene, they began interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.

A short while later, a suspect was identified and placed under arrest by Troup County Sheriff’s Office Investigators. The name of the suspect is being withheld, and more arrests are likely to follow as the investigation continues.
