West Point Rd Burglary & Battery - 10/6/11

At approximately 1:55 pm, today, Troup County Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 7200 block of West Point Road in reference to a report of Burglary and Battery.

Upon arrival, the Deputies interviewed the resident. He stated that, after being asleep at home for a brief period of time on the living room couch, he heard noises inside the residence. As he attempted to rise up and check out the nature of the noises, two unknown males quickly subdued and struck him several times. After the attack, the two men fled from the front door of the residence in an unknown direction of travel, on foot.

Descriptions of the men, given by the victim, were passed along as lookouts for patrolling Deputies. They are as follows:

                Suspect #1) A white male, standing approximately 6’ 1”, weighing around 270 lbs and wearing a
                                     Georgia Bulldog T-Shirt with blue jeans.

                Suspect #2) A shorter white male, medium-to-small build, wearing a long-sleeve flannel shirt
                                     with blue jeans.

Sheriff Donny Turner asks that if you should see these suspects, or know of their whereabouts, please contact 911. If you have any further information regarding this alleged crime, please notify the Troup County Crime Stoppers Hotline at (706)812-1000. You can remain anonymous! If the information that you provide leads to an arrest in this case, you may be eligible to receive a reward.
